Expression data from murine PBCs from mice with advanced mammary tumors and their tumor-free counterparts.

(Submitter supplied) Female MMTV/c-MYC transgenic mice expressed the c-MYC proto-oncogene or a more stable point mutation variant (T58A) of the gene under the control of the hormone-responsive MMTV long terminal repeat (LTR) in an FVB/NJ background (Jackson Laboratories, Bar Harbor, ME). The hormones released during pregnancy and lactation have been shown to enhance expression of the oncogene. Thus, the mice were maintained in a continuous breeding program. more...

Expression data from peripheral blood in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients

(Submitter supplied) The presence of some malignancies, such as cancer, impacts on peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) gene expression profiling, suggesting the potential suitability of these genes as diagnostic and prognostic markers. The objective of this study was to identify new markers in peripheral blood that differentiate between PDAC patients and healthy controls as a means of facilitating fast detection of the disease.

Analysis of gene expression in co-culture of PBMCs with Head and Neck cancer cells line by High-Throughput Sequencing

(Submitter supplied) (Objectives) The goal of this study is to investigate paracrine effect of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) on Head and Neck cancer cell lines. (Method) Transcription profiles of PBMCs (control) and PBMCs co-cultured with Head and Neck cancer cell lines (treatment) were generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate for HN17 and duplicate for HN4, using Illumina HiSeq 4000. (Results and conclusion) Transcriptome analysis of PBMCs has shown the gene expression changed when co-cultured with HN cell lines. more...

CGH analysis of mouse mammary gland tumors from eight genetically-engineered mouse models

(Submitter supplied) Background. Oncogene overexpression in primary cells often triggers the induction of a cellular safeguard response promoting senescence or apoptosis. Secondary cooperating genetic events are generally required for oncogene induced tumorigenesis to overcome these biologic obstacles. We employed array CGH for 8 genetically-engineered mouse models of mammary cancer to identify loci that might harbor genes that enhance oncogene-induced tumorigenesis. more...

Comprehensive genomic profiling identified miRNA signatures associated with mammary tumor differentiation and development

(Submitter supplied) We performed affymetrix gene expression profiling on mammary tumors from eight well-characterized genetically engineered Mouse (GEM) models of human breast cancer. The gene expression data will be combined with the miRNA gene expression data from the corresponding mammary tumors and tissues for integrated miRNA and mRNA gene expression analysis, which are useful in improving the identification of miRNA targets from potential targets identified in silico.
