Manufacture protocol The arrays were produced by in vitro transcription/translation (IVTT) reactions using plasmids encoding individual leptospire ORFs as templates, and reactions printed onto nitrocellulose-coated slides. Multiple spots consisting of reactions lacking plasmid templates ('no DNA' controls) are present on each array and used for data normalization. ORFs larger than 3kb were segmented into smaller fragments and are designated as the original ORF ID followed by segment number (example: LIC10502s2). For these cases, the protein accession number corresponds to the original full protein (in that example, the accession number provided would be the one for the full LIC10502 protein).
