The 10K MWG human oligoset together with additional 50-mer oligo probes involved in energy metabolism were in-house printed on GAP II coated slides (Corning), using the Microgrid II arrayer (BioRobotics Ltd, Cambridge, UK). After printing, microarrays were allowed to dry at room temperature. The oligo arrays were rehydrated and immobilized by UV cross-linking (120 MJ of UV energy). The microarray slides were then prewashed in the following order to reduce background; 20 minutes at 55C with 2x SSC/0.2% SDS, 5 minutes at room temperature (RT) with 0.2x SSC and 3 minutes at RT with demineralized water. Slides were dried by 2 minutes of centrifugation (2000 rpm). Spotbuffer: 5* SSC Concentration Oligo's: 700pmol/14 microliter
