cDNA clones, generated using the SMART cDNA library construction kit (Clonetech, Mountain View, CA, USA), were amplified using kit supplied primers and spotted (split pin spotter) onto glass, aminosilane slides. The slides were baked and UV cross linked to bind the DNA.
