Title |
Gene expression-profiling to predict distant metastasis in locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Gene expression patterns can be used as prognostic biomarkers in various types of cancer. We aimed to identify a gene expression pattern for individual distant metastatic risk assessment in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (LA-NPC).
|
|
|
Overall design |
Using Affymetrix Human Gene 2.0 ST GeneChips, we profiled the gene expression between 24 LA-NPC tumor tissues with distant metastasis after radical treatment and 24 LA-NPC tumor tissues without distant metastasis after radical treatment to identify distant metastasis-related genes.
