Title De novo transcriptome sequencing in Anopheles aquasalis using RNA-seq
Organism Anopheles aquasalis
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Anopheles aquasalis transcriptome in response to Plasmodium vivax invasion of midgut

Overall design A. aquasalis mosquitoes were: i) membrane-fed on P. vivax infected blood, ii) membrane-fed on blood with inactivated gametocytes or iii) fed on 10 % sugar solution. 18-24 hours after feeding, mosquitoes were dissected and pools of 30 midguts were collected from each group. Three independent biological replicates of each experiment were performed.
