Title |
De novo transcriptome sequencing in Anopheles aquasalis using RNA-seq |
Organism |
Anopheles aquasalis |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Anopheles aquasalis transcriptome in response to Plasmodium vivax invasion of midgut
|
|
|
Overall design |
A. aquasalis mosquitoes were: i) membrane-fed on P. vivax infected blood, ii) membrane-fed on blood with inactivated gametocytes or iii) fed on 10 % sugar solution. 18-24 hours after feeding, mosquitoes were dissected and pools of 30 midguts were collected from each group. Three independent biological replicates of each experiment were performed.
