Title Altered chromatin remodeling by FOXA1 mutations promotes androgen independence and prostate cancer aggressiveness [ChIP-seq]
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Genome binding/occupancy profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary FKHD-mutant (FKHDm) FOXA1 has impaired ability to bind chromatin and thus failed to rescue wildtype FOXA1-mediated transcriptional program. FKHDm FOXA1 formed much stronger interaction with the AR protein, thereby preventing AR from binding to the chromatin.

Overall design ChIP-seq examination of AR and FOXA1 (HA-tag) binding sites in LNCaP shCtr and shFOXA1 cells with overexpressed FOXA1 wildtype or various FOXA1 mutants in the presence or absence of androgen.
