Summary |
We used microarrays to examine transcriptional profiles of female flies raised on either a glucose-enriched (100 g/L) or unmodified holidic diet. We found several diet-dependent effects including increased growth pathway and immunity expression in flies raised on a glucose-enriched diet.

Overall design |
Newly eclosed w1118 females were raised for 10 days at 25˚C on either a glucose-enriched (100g/L) or unmodified holidic diet. RNA was extracted from samples of 5 whole flies or 10 dissected midguts in triplicate.
