Title |
Defining the transcriptional regulon of ChvI in Caulobacter crescentus |
Organism |
Caulobacter vibrioides |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We sought to define the transcriptional regulon of the ChvI response regulator in Caulobacter crescentus. This study compares gene expression between ∆chvI cells and cells overexpressing the constitutively-active chvI(D52E) mutant. Our work provides a global view of the genes directly and indirectly regulated by the ChvGI two-component system in C. crescentus.

Overall design |
6 replicates of Caulobacter cresentus ∆chvI EV and ∆chvI chvI(D52E)++ cultures were grown in PYE + 0.15% xylose before total RNA extraction using TRIzol. RNA-seq reads were mapped to the NA1000 reference genome (CP001340).
