Title |
Single-cell Sequencing Reveals Brain/Spinal Cord Oligodendrocyte Precursor Heterogeneity and Requirement for mTOR in Cholesterol Biosynthesis and Myelin Maintenance |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The goal of this study was to compare oligodendroglial heterogeneity specifically between brain and spinal cord and to determine the function of the mTOR in this heterogeneity.
|
|
|
Overall design |
Oligodendroglia were isolated from developmentally stage matched brain (postnatal day 14) and spinal cord (postnatal day 10) based on expression of the O4 cell surface antigen (Miltenyl) and used for single cell RNA sequencing. Samples included control and mTOR conditional knockout (CNP-Cre; mTOR fl/fl) cells.
