Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing

Summary |
Based on our previous works, we established an optimized protocol that enables the generation of blastocyst-like structures from human pluripotent stem cells.

Overall design |
To model human pre-/peri-implantation development, we reported a optimized protocol to generate blastocyst-like structures from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) in vitro, which resemble blastocysts in morphology and cell-lineage allocation. Human blastoids provide an accessible, scalable, versatile, and manipulable in vitro model to study the early stages of human development and implantation.
