Title |
elavGal4_adult_head_rep3 |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Drosophila adult head with GAL4, ZT6
Organism |
Drosophila melanogaster |
Characteristics |
Total RNA isolated from adult head of flies expressing GAL4 in their CNS neurons. Sample collected at ZT6.
Biomaterial provider |
Yanmei Huang
Treatment protocol |
Female elav-gal4 flies were mated to male w1118 flies. Progenies from this cross were frozen at ZT6. Heads were collected from the frozen flies.
Growth protocol |
Fly cultures were grown in 25oC on standard media made from receipt provided by the Bloomington stock center. The culture were entrained to a 12 hour:12 hour light:dark cycle.
Extracted molecule |
polyA RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Total RNAs were extracted from the head collections using the TriZol reagent from Invitrogen.
Label |
biotin
Label protocol |
Affymetrix one cycle cDNA synthesis kit and and IVT labeling kit were used to label the RNAs following the standard protocols provided by Affymetrix.
Hybridization protocol |
Labeled RNAs were hybridized to the Drosophila genome array following standard protocol provided by Affymetrix. The array was washed and stained on a Affymetrix Fluidics Station 400 using standard protocols.
Scan protocol |
An Agilent GeneArray Scanner was used to scan the array. Pixel size: 3 um, filter: 570nm, number of scan: 2
Description |
The population contain a mixture of elav-gal4 male and elav-gal4/+ female.
Data processing |
Data generated by MAS5.0 with all default parameters and scaled to a target intensity of 100
