Sample type SRA

Source name Oligodendrocyte, control
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Characteristics cell type: Oligodendrocyte
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Cells and optic nerves were collected, flash frozen on dry ice, and total RNA was extracted using Trizol reagent.
Libraries were prepared according to Illumina's instructions accompanying Illumina TruSeq RNA Sample Prep Kit (Cat#FC-122-1001).

Library strategy RNA-Seq
Library source transcriptomic
Library selection cDNA
Instrument model Illumina HiSeq 2000

Data processing Illumina Casava software used for basecalling.
Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and then mapped to mm9 or rn4 whole genome using TopHat using default options.
Fragment Per Kilobase of exon per Megabase of library size (FPKM) were calculated using Cufflinks with default options. Outputs from Cufflinks are provided as supplementary files.
Genome_build: rn4 (RGSC_v3.4)
