Treatment protocol |
Flies were anesthetized with CO2, then homogenized on ice in the Tripure solution using a fresh RNAse-free pellet pestle for each biological replicate.

See Musselman et al, 2011 (PMID 21719444) for diets. Adult Canton-S genotype flies were aged in single-sex vials until sacrifice.
