Growth protocol Primary human HSCs (ScienCell Research Laboratories, #5300) were grown in DMEM (Life Technologies, #11965092) containing 10% fetal bovine serum FBS (Sigma-Aldrich #F4135) and 1% penicillin/streptomycin (Life Technologies, #15140122).All cell lines were maintained under standard tissue culture conditions (37 °C, 5% CO2 incubator).
