Title |
High Translation Fraction 4% YE-2 |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Whole 7-8 old male
Organism |
Drosophila melanogaster |
Characteristics |
strain: w1118 gender: male diet: 6 days on 4% YE food
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was separated over a sucrose gradient, then RNA was isolated by Trizol extraction from the high or the low translation fractions.
Label |
Biotin
Label protocol |
Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard protocol for MessageAmp II-Biotin Enhanced kit (Ambion) starting with 100 ng total RNA.
Hybridization protocol |
12.5 micrograms of biotin-labeled cRNA was fragmented and hybridized according to the Affymetrix protocol.
Scan protocol |
Arrays were scanned using the Affymetrix GeneChip 3000 scanner.
Description |
Expression profile of the high translation fraction on 4%YE
Data processing |
Data were processed using Rosetta Resolver (Rosetta Biosoftware); the Affymetrix-Rosetta – Intensity Profile and Experiment Builder pipelines were used. Data processing resulted in average expression values and associated errors as well as a statistic reporting whether the target transcript was detected above background.
