Cells were grown in the absence or presence of EGF.

Growth protocol |
Trypsin-treated cells were re-suspended in DME/F12 medium supplemented with 2% horse serum, insulin, cholera toxin and hydrocortisone. Eight-chambered plates (BD Biosciences) were coated with 35 µl MatrigelTM per well. The cells were mixed 1:1 with assay medium containing MatrigelTM (4%) and EGF (20 ng/ml), and 400 µl added to each chamber.
