Treatment protocol Vehicle (0.1% ethanol = 1000X working stock solution) was added directly to cell culture (10 microliter for a 10-cm dish containing 10 ml medium). Cells were incubated for 48 hours, and their total RNA was isolated for transcriptomal analysis.
Growth protocol MCF-7/BUS cell culture was maintained in high-glucose, phenol red-free DMEM (PF-DMEM) and supplemented with 5% fetal calf serum.
