FGOs were harvested from adult ovaries (10 to 12 weeks old) by needle puncture and cumulus cells were removed by capillary washing. RNA-seq library was generated from a single FGO or MII oocyte using SMART-SeqHT Kit (Takara) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
