Surgically isolated human colorectal cancer tissues were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen. Tissues were lysed and total RNA was extracted using the Sepasol-RNA I (WAKO, Osaka, Japan) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Total RNA was then purified using an RNeasy column (Qiagen, Austin, TX).
