Treatment protocol Pregnant mice were euthanized by cervical dislocation after inhalation anesthesia. Embryos were collected into fresh Hanks’ balanced salt solution (HBSS) at 4℃ and maxillofacial tissues were dissected from the head under a stereomicroscope.
Growth protocol Timed-pregnant ICR mice were kept under a 12 h light/12 h dark cycle with free access to standard laboratory feed and water.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol The total RNA was isolated from cerebellums of each individual animal using TRIzol Reagent (Thermo Fisher Scientific) and purified using SV Total RNA Isolation System (Promega) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label Cy3
Label protocol Low Input Quick Amp Labeling Kit (Agilent) was employed according to the manufactuer's instruction.
 
Hybridization protocol The cDNA was hybridized to a 60K Agilent 60-mer oligomicrroarray accoding to the manufacturer's instruction.
Scan protocol A hybridized microarray slides were scanned by an Agilent scanner.
