tissue: L. bicolor/P.trichocarpa ectomycorrhizae were synthesized by growing cuttings of Populus trichocarpa for three month in pots containing Terragreen (Brenntag Lorraine, Toul, France) mixed with fungal inoculum in a peat-vermiculite mix (4:1,v/v). Mycorrhizal root tips were harvested and immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen.
