Overall procedure: Gfi1f/f (WT_Tum) or Mx1Cre+Gfi1f/f (KO_Tum) or Gfi1f/f Notch tg (WT_Notch_Tum) or Mx1Cre+Gfi1f/f Notch tg (Notch_KO_Tum)Mice were injected with di-Nitriso-N-Ethylurea (ENU) and observed for emergence of mediastinal using ultarsound. Upon emergence of a growing mediastinal tumor, mice were injected with pIpC, which induces deletion of Gfi1 in MxCre+ tg mice. About 2-3 weeks after pIpC injection, tumor cells were explanted.
