Definition

Any deviation from the normal concentration of inhibins, which are heterodimeric protein hormones secreted by granulosa cells of the ovary in females and Sertoli cells of the testis in males. Inhibins suppress the secretion of pituitary follicle-stimulating hormone. [from HPO]
