TREE1-EIN3 mediated transcriptional repression inhibits shoot growth in the response to ethylene in the Histone H3K23 acetylation- and EIN3- mediated ethylene response

(Submitter supplied) We report that ethylene enhances the TREE1 binding. We perform ChIP-sequencing of TREE1 using chromatins isolated from 3-day old etiolated pTREE1:TREE1-GFP seedlings treated with ethylene or air gas. Results show that ethylene enhances TREE1 binding in ethylene down regulated genes.

response of ein3eil1 mutants to fe deficiency-Role of ethylene in Fe deficieny response signalling

(Submitter supplied) au10-14_fer - response of ein3eil1 mutants to fe deficiency - Response of ein3eil1 mutants to Fe deficiency - Wild type seedlings and ethylene insensitive ein3eil1 seedlings were germinated and grown in the presence of 50 µM Fe or absence of Fe (0 µM) on Hoagland medium agar plates until the age of 6 days. Under these growth conditions symptoms of Fe deficiency develop in the 0 Fe plants. Ethylene is known to promote Fe acquisition responses. more...

EIN3 positive feedback regulation on EIN2C-mediated histone acetylation and gene expression

(Submitter supplied) Purpose: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has been used to study the gene expression amd EIN2C-EIN3DB binding activity in different samples under air and ethylene treatment. The goal of this study is to uncover how EIN3 dimer affect the EIN2C-mediated histone acethylation and gene expression in response to ethylene.

Ethylene promotes root hair growth through coordinated EIN3/EIL1 and RHD6/RSL1 activity in Arabidopsis

(Submitter supplied) Root hairs are an extensive structure of root epidermal cells and are critical for nutrient acquisition, soil anchorage, and environ- mental interactions in sessile plants. The phytohormone ethylene (ET) promotes root hair growth and also mediates the effects of different signals that stimulate hair cell development. However, the molecular basis of ET-induced root hair growth remains poorly understood. more...

Salicylic Acid Suppresses Apical Hook Formation via NPR1-Mediated Repression of EIN3/EIL1 in Arabidopsis

(Submitter supplied) Salicylic acid (SA) and ethylene (ET) are two important plant hormones that regulate numerous plant growth, development, and stress response processes. Previous studies have suggested functional interplay of SA and ET in defense response, but precisely how these two hormones co-regulate plant growth and development processes remains unclear. The present findings reveal an antagonism between SA and ET in apical hook formation, a process that ensures successful soil emergence of dicotyledonous etiolated seedlings. more...

Ethylene-insensitive5 encodes a 5'->3' exoribonuclease required for regulation of EIN3-targeting F-box proteins EBF1/2

(Submitter supplied) thylene is a gaseous plant growth regulator that controls a multitude of developmental and stress responses. Recently, the levels of Arabidopsis EIN3 protein, a key transcription factor mediating ethylene-regulated gene expression, have been demonstrated to increase in response to the presence of ethylene gas. Furthermore, in the absence ethylene, EIN3 is quickly degraded through a ubiquitin/proteasome pathway mediated by two F box proteins, EBF1 and EBF2 (1-3). more...
