Determination of WatR binding site in Methylomonas sp. DH-1 after lactate adaptive evolution

(Submitter supplied) JHM80 strain was obtained by adaptive evolution of Methylomonas sp. DH-1 strain against 8.0 g/L of lactate. The tolerance against lactate of JHM80 was obtained by the overexpression of watR (weak acid tolerance regulator). In order to discover the target genes of WatR, FLAG epitope tag was added to WatR of JHM80 strain and ChIP-seq was performed.

Transcriptome analysis of Methylomonas sp. DH-1 wild-type and ΔwatR strain according to acetate treatment

(Submitter supplied) WatR (weak acid tolerance regulator) was discovered to contribute to the tolerance against several organic acids. Generally, deletion of watR gene caused decreased tolerance. However, in the case of acetate, the tolerance has been increased according to the absence of watR. In order to determine the relationship between WatR and acetate, we tried to discover the acetate responsive genes in wild-type and ΔwatR strain.
