Title |
Differences in fetal liver gene expression between low and high maternal nutrition |
Organism |
Bos taurus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
To investigate the impact of maternal nutrient restriction on gene expression in the fetal liver, we profiled gene expression in the liver of Japanese Black fetal calves in high and low nutrient condition of pregnant maternal cows .

|
Overall design |
Japanese Black cows were fed with 60% (low-nutrition (LN) group, n=4) or 120% (high-nutrition (HN) group, n=4) of overall nutritional requirement during gestation. The fetal liver was obtained at 8.5-mo post-conception of the maternal cows. The microarray-based gene expression was analyzed using the pooled total RNA samples for each of the nutritional treatment group.
