Growth protocol |
MCF-7 (human breast adenocarcinoma) cells were purchased from American Type Culture Collection (Manassas, VA) and grown in phenol red free DMEM (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) (Invitrogen), 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin and maintained at 37°C in an atmosphere of 5% CO2.
