RNA was isolated by hot-phenol extraction for further microarray analysis. Therefore, total RNA isolated from the control (empty plasmid) and from MAP1 overexpressing cells was reverse transcribed using a mixture of oligo-dT and random nonamer oligos in the presence of amino-allyl dUTP/dNTP mixture, and cDNAs were fluorescently labeled with Cy3 and Cy5 dyes, respectively
