Total RNA was isolated from pooled microdissected material using an RNA isolation kit (Qiagen RNAeasy microkit) according to manufacturer’s instructions. RNA quantity was measured using a nanodrop spectrophotometer. RNA quality was checked using an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer with the RNA 6000 Pico LabChip Kit (5065-4473, Agilent Technologies, Palo Alto) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
