Data processing Gene expression was normalised with RUVIII (Molania et al. 2019) (v0.9.7.1, k=5). The set of control genes with lowest variation across pseudobiological replicates was identified in a two-step approach, first running RUVIII across log2 transformed counts with all genes as controls, then choosing the 100 genes with the least variation to use for the normalisation.
